The Beckman Coulter 55.2 Ti ultracentrifuge rotor is made of titanium and thus both stronger and more resistant to chemicals than either aluminum composite or fiber composite rotors. The exterior surfaces are finished with black polyurethane paint. The Beckman 55.2 Ti rotor can be used for applications including pelleting and isopyncnic separations.
